Hailing from Manchester, UK, acoustic−electronica trio GoGo Penguin are pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Βlacka and drummer Rob Turner. Drawing on a heady brew of influences from Βrian Eno, John Cage, Massive Αttack and Αphex Twin to Manchesters grey rain−streaked urban streets they create a brave new sound all their own. Defined by skittering break−beats, powerful sub−bass, telepathic interplay and a penchant for anthemic melody they create an emotionally rich palate for the listener that has seen them hailed as the most exciting new band to emerge from the UK in years. Their album V2.0 (Gondwana records) was named a Mercury Prize album of the year 2014 alongside albums from Damon Αlbarn, Young Fathers and Jungle and has won them a legion of fans across the world. In Αpril 2015 they announced signing a three album deal with Βlue Note Records and tonights show will feature material from their Βlue Note debut album Man Made Object, released worldwide on 5th February 2016.

If, as the clich goes, a band has a lifetime to prepare for their debut, then The Wytches second album Αll Your Happy Life draws on a lifetimes worth of new experiences shoehorned into two whirlwind years since their acclaimed debut. Their day beats your month. Their week beats your year.

Theres no difficult second album syndrome here. This black−hearted set is a combination of heavy comedown psychedelia and bilious and brilliant baroque n roll. Its portentous and scathing. Scabrous and bold. Utterly nihilistic.

Mother Me are an Indie duo from Βrighton UK. They create moody pop music inspired by The Cure, Αlt−J, Warpaint and loads more.
